Why all business must be a Force for Good
January 12 @ 4:30 pm - 5:00 pmFree
You may recall that our last networking event was way back in February 2020! We can’t “get together” yet but we think it’s still important to keep in touch, add value to your world, talk about the good stuff that is happening and occasionally give us all food for thought. We are relaunching our events in 2021, initially as online seminars, 30min long towards the end of the working day 4.30–5.00 pm.
The first seminar, hosted on the SSEN’s behalf by Business West, will be 4.30 pm on Tuesday 12th January 2021. The seminar is titled ‘Why all business must be a Force for Good’ and will be given by Paul Hargreaves who is CEO of a £15M, national food wholesaling company; Cotswold Fayre. This promises to be a thought-provoking and challenging event:
About this Event
Paul is a published author (“Forces for Good”), who will discuss why, particularly in the light of the Covid pandemic, it is no longer acceptable for any business to exist simply for its owners or shareholders. For too long business has been the creator of social inequality and planetary description. It is time now for business to rise up and not just ‘do less harm’ but be a vital part of the solution to the world’s problems. These are the businesses that consumers, in increasing numbers, want to buy from and will be the more successful companies in the future. Indeed those businesses that aim to go back to normal are likely to struggle.
